Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. white Karo
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 or more c. nuts
Directions

1Combine sugar, water and Karo in saucepan over high heat. Stir only until sugar dissolves.

2While syrup is cooking, beat egg whites in large mixer bowl until stiff on high speed.

3Be sure bowl and beaters are grease free.

4Cook syrup to 240°.

5Pour about 1/2 of syrup over egg whites, beating constantly with mixer. Return syrup to high heat and cook to 265°.

6Pour over mixture in bowl, beating constantly.

7Do not scrape syrup pan.

8Add vanilla and beat to mix.

9Remove bowl from mixer and beat with wooden spoon until candy starts to lose gloss.

10Stir in nuts and continue to beat until candy holds shape when dropped from spoon.

11Drop on waxed paper.
