- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 large beaten egg
- 5 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Mix all ingredients together until soft dough is formed. Divide into 3 parts.

2Roll out very thin.

3Let sheets of dough dry for 15 to 20 minutes.

4Cut dough into small strips and drop in boiling chicken broth.

5Cook dumplings until tender.

6Dumplings are good with any meat stock.
