Ingredients

  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 1 pt. Marshmallow Creme
  • 12 oz. any kind morsels (milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla, peanut butter, etc.)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp. each 1 or 2 following extracts: walnut, almond, mint, etc.

    Boil milk, butter and sugar (stirring constantly) over medium heat to 236° to 238° (use candy thermometer), then remove from heat.

    Add Marshmallow Creme and morsels.

    Stir thoroughly.

    Add extract flavorings.

    Stir again.

    Pour into an ungreased pan, preferably 11 x 15 x 1/2-inch.

    Let cool and harden for 8 to 12 hours.

    Cut into desired size pieces.

    Makes about 3 pounds.
