- 4 c. flour
- 2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
- cold water
Directions

1In large bowl mix together flour and shortening, using pastry cutter or two forks, until mixture is crumbly.

2Break egg into measuring cup, beat, then add enough cold water to measure 3/4 cup liquid.

3Add baking powder and vinegar, blending well.

4Then add liquid mixture to flour mixture and blend well.

5Dough will be quite moist.

6For best results, cover and refrigerate for at least thirty minutes before rolling out.
