- 3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 5 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
Directions

1Cut shortening into flour and salt.

2Combine egg, water and vinegar.

3Add the water to the egg before vinegar; pour liquid into flour mixture all at once.

4Blend with fork just until flour is all moistened.

5This is an easy crust to handle and can be re-rolled without toughening.

6Makes 2 or more double crust pies, depending on the size of pans.
