- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 5 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
Directions

1Combine flour and salt in a large bowl.

2Cut in shortening. Combine egg, water and vinegar.

3Mix well.

4Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients.

5Mix until the flour is moistened and dough is easy to handle.

6Divide into 3 parts.

7Roll out one part at a time on a floured board.

8Dough may be covered and refrigerated for up to a week.

9Dough may also be frozen. Yields pastry for 3 (9-inch) pies.
