Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, trimmed
  • 1 c. celery, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 6 hard boiled eggs, chopped
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Break the lettuce into small pieces. Spread the lettuce in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Then sprinkle the celery over the lettuce.

    Add the green pepper, frozen peas, onion, eggs and bacon in layers.

    Mix the sugar into the mayonnaise.

    Spread mayonnaise over the top of the salad.

    To with cheese.

    Cover tightly with plastic wrap or foil and place into refrigerator for 8 to 12 hours before serving.
