- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. ginger
- flour (about 5 c.)
Directions

1Combine molasses, butter and brown sugar in large pot; bring to boil.

2Remove from heat.

3Add 1 cup flour; let cool.

4Dissolve the baking soda in the vinegar.

5Beat egg.

6Add spices to egg. Add egg mixture to soda and vinegar mixture.

7Combine with molasses mixture.

8Add flour until it is a good consistency for rolling (about 4 to 5 cups).

9Rolls out extremely well.

10Never sticks.

11Good for cookie cutters.

12Bake at 350° for about 8 minutes.

13These cookies stay nice and soft if stored in an airtight can.

14Dough refrigerates and freezes well.
