- 1 lb. split peas
- 3 to 4 medium onions
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic
- 3 large carrots
- 3 Tbsp. fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp. fresh dill
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Rinse split peas and soak for 1 hour.

2In large pot, put split peas in 8 cups of water.

3Chop onions, garlic and carrots and mix in the pot.

4Finely chop parsley and dill.

5Add with the remaining seasonings.

6Cook 2 hours on medium heat.

7Add water to thin if needed.
