Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. stew meat
  • 2 lbs. carrots, sliced
  • 3 lg. potatoes, cut in medium cubes
  • 6-8 sm. boiling onions, whole
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup and equal amt. of water
  • 1 can tomato soup and equal amt. of water
  • 1 can onion soup and equal amt. of water
  • 1 medium can mushrooms
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. dry red wine
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a dutch oven or other oven-proof pan.

    There is no need to brown the meat.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 4 - 4-1/2 hours, covered.

    DO NOT OPEN THE LID DURING COOKING TIME.
