  • 1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup sugar divided
  • 2 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 6 cups apples thinly sliced, peeled
  • 1/2 cup flour, all-purpose
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 dash black pepper

    CRUST: Place dry ingredients in 9 inch pie pan.

    Add milk to oil.

    Pour over dry ingredients.

    Mix with fork.

    When completely mixed bring crust up sides of pan to form pie shell.

    APPLE FILLING: Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons flour.

    Set aside.

    Sprinkle apple slices with lemon juice.

    Toss apples with sugar mixture.

    Pour into pie crust.

    Combine remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup flour, cinnamon and ginger.

    Cut in margarine until crumbly.

    Sprinkle on top of apples Bake at 375 for one hour.
