Noodle Pudding *

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. noodles (wide)
  • 3/4 lb. cream cheese (blocks), slightly softened
  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine, less 2 Tbsp., slightly softened
  • 1 c. sugar less 2 Tbsp. (reserve the 2 Tbsp. sugar)
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • crushed corn flakes (approximately 1 c.)
  • 1/3 c. milk or more

    Cook noodles and drain.

    Melt margarine and cream cheese into hot noodles (in large bowl).

    Mix well.

    Add eggs, sour cream and sugar.

    Stir.

    Grease 9 x 12-inch pan.

    Pour mixture into pan. Sprinkle corn flakes (crushed) on top, then add 2 tablespoons sugar.

    Drizzle 1/3 cup (or little more) milk on top, trying to moisten entire surface.

    Bake at 375° for 1/2 hour.
