Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. egg noodles
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 (1 lb.) bag frozen whole kernel corn
  • 12 oz. thinly sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 cans condensed tomato soup
  • 2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 large clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder

    Cook noodles as directed.

    Drain.

    Meanwhile in large skillet brown beef, onion, celery and garlic.

    Drain excess fat.

    Add corn and mushrooms.

    Heat 5 minutes.

    Add remaining ingredients, except for cheese. Mix well.

    Add cooked noodles.

    Mix.

    Transfer to 3-quart casserole. Top with cheese.

    Bake in 375° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and cheese has melted.
