Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/4 lb. ground pork
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • water
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce

Directions

    Mix together beef and pork.

    Soak bread in milk; add egg to bread mix.

    Add spices and onion; work together well.

    Roll into balls size of walnut.

    Brown in pan in olive oil.

    Move into casserole.

    Cover with water and soy sauce.

    Simmer 1/2 hour. Thicken gravy with flour; stir in water.

    Simmer a few minutes.
