  • 2 lb. flour
  • 1 lb. Crisco
  • 1 lb. sugar
  • 2 lb. nuts (filberts or almonds), roasted
  • 10 oz. pineapple preserves
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 lb. dates, cut up
  • 1/2 lb. raisins (optional)
  • 4 eggs

Directions

    Mix Crisco with flour.

    Blend dry ingredients together, then add eggs and vanilla; blend well.

    Fold in pineapple and nuts last. Make into bar.

    Bake in 350° oven 15 or 20 minutes.
