- 3 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. milk
- 4 eggs (unbeaten)
- 1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped fine
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.

2Add Crisco, milk and 2 eggs.

3Beat for 3 minutes.

4Add remaining 2 eggs and beat for 3 minutes.

5Fold in nuts.

6Put in well-greased tube pan.

7Bake at 375° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

8Cool on wire rack for 15 to 20 minutes.

9Remove from pan.
