- 2 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. chopped black walnuts
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 large apple, peeled and chopped
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs 2 at a time, beating well after each addition.

2Add self-rising flour; mix well.

3Stir in vanilla.

4Combine pecans, walnuts and all-purpose flour in bowl; toss to coat.

5Fold into batter.

6Stir in apples.

7Pour into ungreased tube pan.

8Bake at 300° for 1 1/4 hours.

9Cool in pan for several minutes.

10Invert onto serving plate.
