- 6 eggs, separated
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
- 1 box raisins
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 qt. pecans
- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 to 1 c. whiskey
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, molasses and whiskey.

2Sift dry ingredients.

3Reserve 1 cup to dredge fruit in.

4Add to egg mixture and fold in egg white.

5Pour in greased and floured pan (tube or loaf).

6Makes 2 large cakes.

7Bake in slow oven at 275° about 3 to 4 hours or until done.
