  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 3 c. nuts

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Roll nuts in flour. Sift

    soda and salt into the remaining flour. Add flour

    and buttermilk alternately. Add nuts.

    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°.
