- 1 1/2 lb. walnuts or pecans, chopped
- 2 c. honey
Directions

1Bring the sugar and honey to a boil; boil them for 10 minutes. Slowly add

2the nuts.

3Cook the mixture until it is thick, until the candy thermometer registers the soft-crack stage.

4Spoon the mixture out onto a wet marble slab or wooden board.

5Dip your hands in ice water and pat the mixture into a square, about 1-inch thick.

6Let the square cool slightly.

7Using a sharp knife, cut into squares or diamonds.

8Yields about 2 1/2 pounds.
