- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast or 1 cake compressed yeast
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 4 eggs
Directions

1Have all ingredients at room temperature.

2In small saucepan heat milk to lukewarm (105° to 115°).

3Stir in sugar and yeast. Let stand 10 minutes until bubbly.

4Measure flour into large bowl. Add butter; cut in with pastry blender or 2 knives used scissor/fashion until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

5Stir in yeast mixture and egg yolks; knead until dough is smooth.

6Shape into a ball.

7Set aside.

8Grease 2 large cookie sheets.
