  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. honey
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. applesauce
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. wheat germ
  • 2 1/2 c. quick oats
  • 1/2 c. bran (flake form)
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/4 c. canned milk

Directions

    Cream margarine, honey, eggs, vanilla and applesauce in a large bowl.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt; add wheat germ and mix well.

    Blend in oats, dates, bran, nuts and milk.

    Add to egg mixture.

    Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
