- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 15 ounces fruit cocktail, with 3 tbsp liquid reserved
- 14-12 cup brown sugar
Directions

1Drain off liquid of fruit cocktail reserving 3 Tbsp of the liquid.

2Combine flour, sugar, pecans, baking soda, salt and fruit cocktail with reserved liquid.

3Pour into an 8x8 greased and floured pan.

4Sprinkle top with brown sugar.

5Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

6Check for doneness at 45 minutes.

7Can subsitute different nuts for different tastes.

8I have found that 1/4 c is enough brown sugar.
