  • 2/3 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 4 large fresh carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1/8 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • freshly ground pepper

Directions

    Put the walnuts on a cookie sheet and into a 350° oven until lightly toasted.

    Cut carrots into sticks and steam until tender. Melt butter in a small saucepan.

    Add all other ingredients except pepper and heat thoroughly.

    Pour sauce over steamed carrots. Sprinkle walnuts over.

    Pepper and toss lightly.
