- 1 cup wild rice
- 1 cup barley
- 1 cup bulgur
- 1 cup almonds
- 3 tablespoons flax seeds
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 teaspoons cider vinegar
Directions

1Wash uncooked wild rice, barley and bulgur thoroughly.

2Add to 9 cups boiling water in a heavy pan.

3Return water to boil and stir.

4Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 50-60 minutes or just until kernals puff open.

5Uncover and fluff with table fork.

6Simmer five additional minutes.

7Drain any excess liquid.

8For chewier texture cook less time.

9Add almonds and flaxseed.

10Combine oil and vinegar.

11Add to rice and grain mixture.

12Serve hot.
