  • 1 c. oat bran
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1/3 c. nonfat powdered milk
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 3/4 c. hot water
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. egg substitute
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. whole-wheat flour
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix oat bran, dates, dry milk, molasses, hot water, butter and egg substitute in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool completely before slicing.
