Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. quick oatmeal
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar or molasses
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 c. boiling water
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2In a large bowl, combine oatmeal, whole wheat flour, sugar, salt and margarine.

3Pour boiling water over all and mix well; when lukewarm, stir in yeast. Stir in approximately half of flour; turn out on floured surface and knead in rest of flour.

4Place in greased bowl.

5Let rise until double in size; punch down.

6Shape into 2 loaves; place in greased bread pans and let rise again.

7Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.

8Cool on rack.

9Brush tops with margarine.
