Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. oats
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 6 1/4 c. flour
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Soften the yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

2In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups boiling water, oats, molasses, shortening and salt.

3Cool a few minutes.

4Stir in 2 cups flour; add eggs and beat well.

5Stir in yeast; beat well.

6Add remaining flour.
-
7Mix until smooth.

8Grease top lightly.
-
9Cover and put in refrigerator 2 hours.

10Turn out on well floured surface; shape into 2 loaves. Place in greased pans.

11Cover; let rise in warm place about 2 hours.
-
12Bake at 375° for about 40 minutes.
