- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. uncooked oats
- 3 Tbsp. cold milk
Directions

1Sift together flour and salt.

2Cut in other ingredients with a pastry blender, beginning with the butter.

3Blend it until mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then stir in oats.

4Sprinkle milk over mixture.

5Stir lightly and form into ball.

6Turn out on lightly floured board.

7Roll to form circle.

8Fit into a 9-inch pan. Crimp around edges.

9Prick sides and bottom if using for a cream pie.

10Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.

11May also be used unbaked for custard or chess pies.
