- 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. uncooked oatmeal
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
- 1 1/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Mix all ingredients and chill overnight.

2Divide dough into egg-sized balls and roll into very, very thin sheets on a flour-covered pastry cloth.

3Transfer to cookie sheets and bake at 325° to 350° until light tan.

4It does not need to be turned over. Store in closed container to keep dry.

5Serve with butter.
