Oatmeal-Molasses Bread

- 2 1/4 c. oatmeal (not quick oats)
- 3 3/4 c. boiling water
- 3 Tbsp. oleo
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 1/8 c. molasses
- 9 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. yeast in a little warm water
Directions

1Mix oatmeal, boiling water and oleo.

2Cool for 1 hour.

3Add salt and molasses to cooled oatmeal mixture.

4Stir in yeast dissolved in warm water.

5Add the flour a few cups at a time. Knead.

6Let rise until doubled.

7Form 3 loaves.

8Let rise about 1/2 way.

9Put in cold oven.

10Turn heat to 350° and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
