- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. dark corn syrup
- 2/3 c. regular rolled oats
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 9 inch unbaked pie crust
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- whipped cream (optional)
Directions

1In a saucepan, melt the butter.

2Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, corn syrup and oats.

3Stir in eggs and vanilla.

4Pour mixture into the prepared crust.

5Top with pecans.

6Cover the edge with foil to prevent over browning.

7Bake in a 325 oven for 25 minutes.

8Remove foil.
-
9Bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until set.

10Cool on a wire rack.

11Serve with whipped cream and top with baked pie crust shapes, if you like.
