- 34 cup butter or 34 cup margarine
- 1 cup packed brown sugar (I use dark brown sugar)
- 12 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon ground cloves (I don't use it) (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 34 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375F.

2In a large bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium for 1/2 minute.

3Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon and cloves if desired.

4Beat until well mixed, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.

5Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until combined.

6Beat in as much flour as you can with mixer, then stir in remaining flour with a wooden spoon.

7Stir in rolled oats, mix well.

8If using raisins, stir in now.

9Drop dough in rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

10Bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

11Cool on wire rack.
