- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 c. maple flavor pancake and waffle syrup
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 Tbsp. Crisco shortening, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. Oklahoma paper shell pecan halves
Directions

1Heat oven to 425°.

2For filling, combine eggs, syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, Crisco, vanilla and salt in large bowl.

3Mix until well blended.

4Stir in nuts.

5Spoon into unbaked pie shell.

6Bake for 10 minutes.

7Reduce temperature to 350°. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

8Cool to room temperature before serving.
