- 5 3/4 to 6 1/4 c. flour, sifted
- 2 pkg. active yeast
- 2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Combine 2 1/2 cups flour and yeast.

2Heat milk, sugar, Crisco and salt until warm (115° to 120°).

3Stir until Crisco melts; add dry mixture.

4Add eggs.

5Beat with mixer at low speed for 1/2 minute.

6By hand stir in enough remaining flour to make moderately stiff dough.

7Shape in ball.

8Place in a greased bowl.

9Let rise in a warm place until double, about 1 1/4 hours.

10Punch down and shape into ball.

11Let rise 45 minutes.

12Brush with melted Crisco. Bake in a 400° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
