- pastry for 2 crust pie
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- dash of salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 6 c. thinly sliced, pared tart cooking apples
Directions

1In small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, flour and salt, mixing well.

2Add to apples in large bowl, tossing lightly to combine. Turn into pastry lined pie plate, mounding high in center.

3Dot with butter.

4Place top crust over apples and trim.

5Crimp the crust to seal.

6Bake at 425° for 45 to 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
