- 8 ounces, weight Organic Dried Figs
- 4 ounces, weight Organic Dried Apricots
- 2 Tablespoons Chopped Almonds
- 2 drops Anise Extract
- 1 Tablespoon Agave Nectar
- 2 Tablespoons Water
- 2 Tablespoons Orange Juice
- 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Ginger
- 1 cup Oat Flour
- 1 cup Oats
- 1 Tablespoon Flax Meal
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 4 ounces, weight Unsweetend Applesauce
- 3 Tablespoons Agave Nectar
- 1/4 cups Water
Directions

1For the filling: Snip off the figs stems, and put them, the apricots, and the almonds into the food processor.

2Grind to a coarse paste.

3Stir in the remaining filling ingredients and process until mixed.

4Set aside.

5For the crust: Preheat oven to 375 F. Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

6Stir in the wet ingredients, mixing well to a thick consistency.

7Press half the crust mixture into the bottom of an oiled, eight-inch square cake pan (use a wooden spoon or your hands).

8Spread the fig mixture evenly over the crust.

9Smooth the remaining crust mixture over the filling.

10Bake for about 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.

11Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
