  • 6 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 in pieces
  • 2 lbs fresh green beans (can use frozen)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

    In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.

    Add beans, brown sugar and water.

    Stir gently; bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until beans are crisp-tender.
