Old Fashioned Sugar Cream Pie

- 1 c. sugar
- scant 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pt. cream (16 oz.)
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Sift together sugar, flour and salt.

2Stir in 1 cup cream to make paste.

3Stir paste until smooth, then add the remaining cup of cream.

4Beat lightly.

5Stir in vanilla.

6Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with 1 tablespoon butter.

7Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

8Reduce heat to 325° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

9Filling must boil all over in little heat bubbles.
