Ingredients
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 5 c. flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/3 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. orange juice (about)
Directions

1Cream butter and sugars in bowl until light and fluffy.

2Add beaten eggs; beat well.

3Sift dry ingredients together except soda. Dissolve soda in milk.

4Add to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients, beating well after each addition.

5Stir in enough orange juice to make soft dough.

6Roll to desired thickness on floured surface.

7Cut as desired.

8Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until light brown.

9Cool on wire rack.

10Store in airtight container.
