  • 1 c. dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 2/3 c. (1 small can) undiluted evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Directions

    Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar and milk.

    Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat to 228° (soft ball stage). Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.

    Beat until mixture begins to thicken and turn opaque, about 2 minutes.

    Drop quickly in patty shape from tablespoon onto buttered cookie sheet.

    Makes about 30.
