  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. finely chopped dates
  • 1/2 c. English walnuts

    Sift dry ingredients; beat eggs until light.

    Add sugar gradually, beating until fluffy.

    Add molasses and sour cream and beat well.
