Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. warm buttermilk
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. melted shortening
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Add buttermilk, sugar and shortening.

3Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.

4Beat until smooth.

5Let stand 10 minutes.

6Roll out dough; cut or shape as desired.

7Place on greased pan.

8Let rise in warm place for 30 minutes.

9Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.

10Makes approximately 2 dozen rolls.
