- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; sprinkle top with pinch of sugar.

2Put milk, sugar, salt and butter in saucepan; heat until lukewarm.

3Add to yeast and flour; mix well.

4Cover and put in warm place 15 minutes or longer.

5Turn dough onto floured board and pat dough until 1/2-inch thick.

6Cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter; brush with melted butter and let rise.

7Bake 10 minutes in 450° hot oven.
