Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 green pepper, cut in strips
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Saute onion and pepper in oleo for 3 minutes.

    Add beef and brown.

    Add salt, pepper and sugar.

    Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce and water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

    In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan layer tomato, meat sauce and uncooked noodles.

    Make sure noodles are well

    covered with sauce. Top with cheese.

    Cover with aluminum foil.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Let set for 10 to 15 minutes before cutting to serve.
