- 3 md. onions
- 1-1/3 cup flour
- 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 dash pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. salad oil
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1-1/4 cup stale beer (let stand 1 hour)
Directions

1Peel and slice onions about 3/8- to 1/2-inch thick.

2Separate into rings and set aside.

3Beat together flour, Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, salad oil, and beer.

4Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into beer batter.

5Dip onion rings in batter.

6Fry in hot oil until golden (about five minutes).

7Drain on paper towels.

8Sprinkle with salt.
