  • 2 large Bermuda onions, peeled and cut in 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • Crisco shortening for deep frying

Directions

    Separate onion slices into rings.

    Put them in a shallow dish. Pour the milk over them.

    Soak for 30 minutes turning twice.

    Mix flour and salt in a plastic bag.

    Add onion rings a few at a time to coat well.

    Heat Crisco to 325° in deep saucepan.

    Fry onion rings for 2 or 3 minutes.

    Drain on paper towels.

    Sprinkle with salt.
