- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 5 onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. water
- 6 c. beef stock or canned beef broth
- salt and pepper
- chopped parsley
Directions

1Save onions in butter until golden brown.

2Add the salt and water and cook over medium heat until the water is reduced to 1/2 cup.

3Add the beef stock and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.
