- 2 large Spanish onions
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 3 cans beef broth
- 1 can water
- 1 Tbsp. sherry (optional)
- 1/4 lb. grated Swiss cheese
- 1 c. bread cubes
Directions

1Saute onion in butter or margarine until golden.

2Add beef broth and water.

3Boil 15 minutes.

4Add sherry and stir 1 minute. Pour into individual bowls.

5Top with bread cubes.

6Sprinkle with grated cheese.

7Broil for 1 minute until cheese melts.
