  • 4 large onions, sliced fine
  • 1 1/2 qt. beef consomme
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • season to taste
  • 1 c. butter

    Saute onions in butter until golden brown.

    Stir in flour to make a smooth paste.

    Gradually stir in consomme.

    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
